Gifts from Trusts and Foundations play a vital role in ensuring our charity is equipped to provide more Medical Alert Assistance Dogs to save and enhance the lives of those in need; and to move our groundbreaking Bio Detection work from proof of concept to application and deployment, which has the potential to benefit millions worldwide.

We are hugely grateful to the Trusts and Foundations who provide support, whether it be towards our core operating costs, for a specific project or to provide a piece of equipment.

Our incredible funders have generously supported projects like our Community Medical Detection Dogs whereby our Bio Detection team are investigating how specially trained dogs could support with the early diagnosis of urinary tract infections via passive search. This enables us to take a step closer to deploying our research into reality and supporting vulnerable people in our community.

We have also gratefully received support from Trusts and Foundations for our equipment needs. We require an array of equipment from training aids and specialist freezers to items such as our vortex machine and urinalysis machine. Our new state of the art urinalysis machine will inform our Bio Detection team if the urine they are utilising contains any other constituents such as infection, blood or high sugar levels. It is of great significance to understand precisely what is in the urine they are presenting to the dogs and therefore what effect, if any, it may have on the research outcomes.

Trusts and Foundations have also supported our incredible Medical Alert Assistance Dog team to facilitate more life-saving partnerships, giving our clients and their loved one's greater confidence and independence, enabling them to lead a full and happy life.

We pride ourselves on forging long-lasting and meaningful relationships with Trusts and Foundations as, working together, we can achieve so much. We ensure our funders are kept up to date with not only how their gift has impacted our work and supported our incredible dogs; but also, how our charity is moving forward towards our goals. We are sincerely grateful to those that support us.

If you are a Trustee or if you know someone who may be interested in learning more about our work, please contact our Trusts and Foundations Manager. We would be delighted to hear from you and explore how, together, we can support our amazing dogs to continue to change lives. We would also like to extend an invitation to visit our training centre in Milton Keynes to see our dogs in action, meet our fantastic training teams and have the opportunity to find out more about our work.
